Pricing

Do you charge a service or diagnostic fee?

No. We offer free estimates on every job. You will know the cost before we do any work. No trip fee, no diagnostic charge. If you decide not to proceed, there is no charge for the visit.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, check, all major credit cards, and Venmo.

About Us

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Ryan Chastain is a licensed Master Plumber (MPR108473) and The Village Plumber LLC is fully insured. Ask us for documentation if you need it.

Who will show up to my home?

Ryan Chastain, the owner and Master Plumber, personally oversees every job. When you call, you reach Ryan or a team member directly. All work is performed under his direct oversight. You are never getting a stranger from a staffing agency.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Ellijay and the surrounding North Georgia area, including Jasper, Canton, Woodstock, Blue Ridge, Blairsville, Hiawassee, Dahlonega, Dawsonville, Chatsworth, Cumming, Milton, Alpharetta, and more. Warranty

Do you offer a warranty on your work?

Yes. We stand behind our work. If something we fixed comes back, we come back. No charge, no argument. Details depend on the job. Ask us when we give your estimate.

Water Heaters

How long does a water heater installation take?

Most water heater replacements take 2 to 3 hours from arrival to hot water running. More complex jobs, such as switching from tank to tankless or dealing with older corroded lines, can take longer. We give you a realistic time estimate before we start.

Should I repair or replace my water heater?

If your unit is under 8 years old and the repair cost is less than half the replacement cost, repair usually makes sense. Older units or ones with major problems often cost more to keep running than they are worth. We will give you an honest recommendation either way, not one that just makes us more money.

Drain Cleaning

My drain is slow but not fully clogged. Should I still call?

Yes. Slow drains are early warning signs of a larger blockage. Clearing them early is cheaper than dealing with a full backup later. A slow kitchen drain that becomes a flood at 10pm on a Saturday is an avoidable situation.

Water Treatment

Do you install whole-home water softeners?

Yes. We install whole-home filtration systems, water softeners, and under-sink units. North Georgia well water is often hard. We will test your water and recommend the right solution for your home.

Do you respond to plumbing emergencies?
